Los Gauchos Outfitters is a US based hunting outfitter that offer bird hunting trips to Argentina - Uruguay - Peru.

Our History
Ok, we started with Argentina bird hunting. It was soon booked to the max with clients enjoying the Argentina goose hunting, duck hunting, and Perdiz hunting. Laws changed and made it difficult if not impossible to hunt geese. So, with most clients wanting a good duck hunting destination, we headed next door to the small country of Uruguay. Here on the eastern side of the country among large rice farms and marshes we found nothing but ducks.
So, the Los Gauchos Uruguay Duck Hunting Club and soon after the Fortin Lodge came on board for the Uruguay bird hunting menu of Los Gauchos Outfitters. Getting tired of cancelled flights to Cordoba, Los Gauchos checked out Colonia and while the city is great for shopping and relaxing, the fields around Colonia are full of doves. We had to check our GPS, it seemed like we were in Cordoba. Add to the Los Gauchos Hunting options - Uruguay dove hunting AND Perdiz hunting. The best Upland hunting is combined with the dove hunting in Uruguay.
2001 - started out in Argentina with goose hunting, duck hunting, and Perdiz hunting
2002-2005 - grew and grew and every season and lodge booked. Added the .410 special with budget friendly lodging and exceptional Argentina bird hunting.
2006-2011 - began the Uruguay bird hunting trips and have not looked back. Uruguay duck hunting - Uruguay dove hunting. Special Uruguay dorado fishing has become a favorite among anglers and those that just like to catch a fighting fish.
2012 - beyond - Good things coming to Los Gauchos with the 2nd season of Peru bird hunting and the continual success of Uruguay bird hunting. The classic Los Gauchos Outfitters hunting in Argentina continues to do well for those high volume dove shooters.

Uruguay duck hunting lodges and trips are all located on the eastern side of Uruguay. Why? The rice farms and fields as well as marshes and ducks find this home. Many will say Mixed bag hunting with doves, ducks, etc. But, if you enjoy waterfowl hunting and want to see the hunting videos, pictures, and comments source, then eastern side of Uruguay is where you want to be.
Los Gauchos offers 2 lodges dedicated to duck hunting in Uruguay: FORTIN LODGE (Chuy, Uruguay) and the RIO BRANCO LODGE (Rio Branco, Uruguay).
Uruguay dove hunting is superb on the western side of the country. High volume and outstanding shooting opportunities anytime of year. You can certainly come to Uruguay and experience the best of both - ducks and doves. However, it will be out of 2 lodges and 2 areas of the country.

ARGENTINA DOVE HUNTING - COR - Cordoba is the city to arrive/depart out of. You can fly with one short stopover in Santiago, Chile (SCL). If you fly into Buenos Aires, Argentina, you will have to transfer over (at your own cost) to the domestic airport for the flight into Cordoba.
URUGUAY DUCK - DOVE - DORADO: MVD - Montevideo, Uruguay is the city for arrival/departure. Uruguay dove hunting does have some other options such as Colonia vis the hydrofoil from Buenos Aires. Contact Los Gauchos to discuss the options.
PERU BIRD HUNTING - LIM - Lima - arrive/depart out of Lima, Peru
YES. All countries of South America do require a hunting license. The fees differ depending on the country, bird, and sometimes the number of days you hunt. Again, contact Los Gauchos or see the statement sheet for the hunting trip you are interested in booking.
